What does South Africa have to offer?
Africa's Rainbow Nation
With its gorgeous weather, amazing beaches, vast wildlife, delicious (and affordable!) wine and food, and breathtaking scenery everywhere you go, South Africa is a destination every traveller should experience at least once in their lives. Whether you’re looking to meet interesting people, go hiking, experience a Big 5 African safari, relax at the beach, or indulge your “foodie” side, this country has it all. South Africa provides great opportunities for those who prefer an outdoor lifestyle and will open your eyes up to diverse cultures everywhere you go.
With 11 official languages spoken across South Africa, it truly is a rainbow nation. English is the most widely spoken language, which makes traveling much easier than in many other African countries. South Africa's vast array of landscapes, ranging from the semi-desserts of the Karoo, endless Drakensberg mountain ranges, safari landscapes in the Kruger National Park, and picturesque Stellenbosch wine farms, your options are endless.

What should I pack?
With the African sunshine, sunblock is a must during hot summer days, with hats and sunglasses and hiking shoes advised. To capture all the breath taking views, animals and memories we suggest bringing a high quality camera, especially for those who wish to go on safari trips. For travellers who will be going out on early morning game drives, it may be rather chilly so a warm jacket maybe a good idea, especially in winter.
We also suggest bringing along plenty of mosquito repellant for those who are travelling to the northern parts of South Africa as a precaution for malaria (Check with your travel agent when booking regarding anti malari medication). A universal adaptor is also recommended for any electrical appliances you would like to use and charge while travelling.
When is the best time to travel ?
With so much to see and do every month of the year, there is no bad time to visit South Africa. For the best weather and a jam-packed events calendar, plan your trip to South Africa during the summer months of November through February.
If you’re planning a safari trip, book your flights during the country’s winter months. From June to August, temperatures dip to the mid-forties making game drives in the Kruger National Park more bearable. The grass is also shorter so your chances of seeing more of the animals is greater.
